Jerry Basran has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Starting with RBC Dominion Securities in 2000, Jerry steadily grew his practice, becoming one of the firm's top wealth advisors and a specialist in serving high-net-worth clients. Jerry recently joined Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management to be part of an independent firm, offering bespoke wealth management to his clients.
Jerry holds a BBA degree with a dual specialization in accounting and finance from Simon Fraser University. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute, a designation reserved for financial professionals that meet the highest standards for advanced education, ethical conduct, industry experience, and endorsement from peers. Jerry also holds the Chartered Strategic Wealth Professional designation, an elite designation held by a select few Canadian financial professionals.
Jerry and his family live in South Surrey, where they are active members of the community. Jerry lends his support to a number of local charities, and has acted as a campaign executive for the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation Emergency Centre, raising over $450,000 through the RBC Invitational Golf Classic.
Navin Basran joined The Basran Wealth Management Group in late 2019, previously working as an advisor at RBC. He is currently studying at BCIT full-time, majoring in Finance while having completed The Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook to become a licensed Associate.
Navin grew up in the South Surrey area playing competitive hockey before moving on to the junior level where he played up until he was 19. The competitive nature of hockey has given Navin the ability to perform in the most stressful environments.
In having been in these surroundings, Navin is committed to pursuing a career in the Wealth Management industry. He is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys spending time with family and friends when he’s not studying.
Rachel Carr recently graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Management. Prior to joining The Basran Wealth Management Group in November 2020, Rachel worked at a bank-owned firm as well as one of the largest mutual fund providers in North America.
Rachel greatly values continued education and is currently studying for the WME exam to expand her knowledge in wealth management. Given her passion for finance and client-centered approach, Rachel looks forward to contributing to the long-term success of the team, while helping clients achieve their financial goals.
In Rachel's free time she enjoys going to the gym, exploring the outdoors and has a gift for playing musical instruments.

Joining The Basran Wealth Management Group in June 2020, Cole has over 15 years’ experience working with successful advisory teams. His passion over the course of his financial services career has been to provide independent, objective advice that is built on a comprehensive wealth management process. The successful implementation of this approach catapulted Cole to being one of the premier District Vice Presidents within the Canadian mutual fund industry.
Cole is a graduate from BCIT majoring in Financial Planning and Thompson Rivers University with a Bachelor of Commerce. Cole is a passionate advocate of continued education and has recently completed the Executive Education in Blockchain & Fintech Strategy Programs at the University of Oxford, UK. In addition, Cole has completed Executive Education in Artificial Intelligence Implications/Strategy & Innovation Programs at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge MA. Currently, Cole is working towards the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and incorporating Estate Planning courses in order to provide clients with timely financial, tax and estate planning strategies. Within the team, Cole’s focuses are inter-generational wealth transfer, succession and transition planning for family businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.
Cole lives in Vancouver and enjoys cycling and golf during the year.
